Strong character development, creative plot twists, and vivid descriptions are the hallmarks of this author's writing style. I love her work and Dixieland doesn't disappoint!
A good short read. Awesome ending, I got the ending I’ve always wanted lol. I felt like it was Christmas.
Memorable characters and engaging dialogue make the story. It's not often that a short story has the ability to care about the characters enough to feel their sorrows as much as this one does. I can't wait to read the next work by this author!
This story was beautiful, emotional and dark. Taking place in a small town at the edge of nowhere, Dixon Springs is a place where the locals want to escape and find a better life for themselves. But a series of tragedies and events keep halting their escape to the world outside.
I fell in love with Meg and her sister, and found myself really pulling for their hopes and dreams to come true. This story is set in the south and is southern gothic style. A really enjoyable read and I recommend it!

This was a suspenseful story and definitely kept my attention. It's ending was a surprise and now I need to read more from Lisa Herrington!
